Pentatonics

The focus of this month of Micro Sessions is on the Pentatonic scale. Level: Intermediate/ Advancing Pentatonic scales are a staple in many styles ranging from rock, jazz, blues and fusion. We will look in depth at the five two-octave patterns, comping with quartal pairs, three octave shapes, voice leading, symmetrical patterns, superimposition and rhythmic devices. This month is designed specifically to get more mileage out of the language that most people already have access to. If you are keen to deepen your understanding of pentatonics and their use - this month is for you. The sessions are presented using the scientifically proven learning strategies of Spacing, Interleaving and Variation, to ensure optimum progress in minimal time. By the end of the month you will have: 4 hours + of recorded content, extensive notes, a radical reshaping of your practice, a comprehensive understanding of the musical concepts and their use, increased facility on the instrument, tons of practical approaches, and renewed motivation and energy!
