TUESDAYS 6:45 - 8:45 PM

September 12/19, October 10/17/24/31, NOVEMBER 14/21

Melbourne Polytechnic, Yarra Bend Road, Fairfield.

This course consists of a two-hour weekly session, across an eight week period (16 hours of content).

The Dominant 7th chord is possibly the most substituted, coloured and altered sound in modern music. It's flexibility and distinctive nature made it a favourite of composers throughout the twentieth century and allowed it to dominate Blues, Rock, Jazz and Fusion. The series will explore the numerous ways in which we can generate altered colours, expand our musical palette and navigate Dominant Sevenths with confidence.
